I graduated from Thomson Hgh School in Thomson, Ga. in 1989. I attended the University of North Alabama in Florence, Al. and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I also received a Masters in Elementary Education in 2001 from the same university.

I began teaching at Ivory Primary in Camden, Ar. in 2010 as the reading facilitator for the ROAR program that was implementated for 2 years. In 2012, I started teaching 2nd grade at Ivory and worked in this position until the end of the 2016-2017 school year. For the 2017-2018 school year, I will be moving to Camden Fairview Intermediate to teach 4th grade Literacy.
I began my teaching career in 1995 as a parapro at Lauderdale County Elementary in Alabama. In 1997, I began teaching K-6 Title I Reading & later moved to first grade. I also taught 6th grade at Waterloo Elementary in Alabama.
I am married to my wonderful husband Nadir Khan. We were married in 2004. We have a 12 year old son, Nasir, who is in the 7th grade at Camden Fairview Middle School. We also have a cat named Jemma.
During my free time, I like to spend time with my family. We like to travel, watch Alabama football, and shop. I also love to read!
